Meet Heensie.
My mission is to help individuals of all sizes develop a stress-free and fulfilling relationship with their style identity and wardrobe. I frequently support those excluded from the mainstream fashion conversation.
My process creates a welcoming environment for everyone to explore and nurture their unique sense of style. I go “beyond the clothes”, offering an experience that is supportive, creative, and introspective.
I approach our work from a size neutral mindset. This approach allows you to establish a strong relationship with your style that can adapt to the changes all of our bodies inevitably go through over our lifetimes.
As in the name, personal style should feel deeply personal. I view our work together as a co-creative journey, and an intimate process of self-reflection.
Over the past decade, I have carved a unique niche in the fashion industry as a stylist dedicated to size inclusivity.
I’ve explored all areas of the fashion industry, including fashion retail, visual merchandising, jewelry design, art direction, and editorial styling. Over the last four years, my primary focus has been on personal wardrobe styling. I have an educational background in Fashion, Multimedia Design, and Fine Arts.
In 2022, I officially launched Heensie Personal Styling in a virtual styling format. That same year, I had the honour of being recognized as a Selected Director and ASVOFF (A Shaded View On Fashion Film) Award nominee.
With over 100,000 followers across my social media channels, my style-focused videos have garnered significant acclaim. In 2023, I was selected for Pinterest's Creator Inclusion Program, highlighting my commitment to size inclusivity through my work.
My expertise and insights on inclusive fashion have been featured in publications such as ELLE Magazine, Forbes, Oprah Daily, InStyle, Business Insider, Fashion Magazine, Byrdie, People, and more. I have provided consulting to brands such as Pinterest, Visa Canada, The Toronto Plus Size Fashion Show, Free Label, Miik Inc. and more.
As an interdisciplinary fashion creative, I embrace a diverse range of styling projects beyond personal wardrobe styling, including editorial and special event styling, as well as collaborating with fashion brands on size-inclusive initiatives. I welcome the opportunity to discuss your custom project requests.
